About Leanne

I’m a 32 year old Australian dietitian, nutritionist and provisional sports dietitian. I have a Certificate in Public Health, a Bachelor of Health Sciences (majoring in nutrition), a Masters of Dietetics and have completed my Sports Dietetics Degree.


I live a busy, healthy and active life but honestly believe that anyone, of any age and at any stage of their life can make positive changes for a healthier and happier, future.


My mother taught me from a very young age to eat healthily and move your body regularly. She is my inspiration and the reason I got into the health industry to begin with. So thank you mum, from the bottom of my heart.


There are many tenets by which I live my life, and these are just a few:

  • No matter what age or stage of your life, you can find health and happiness.
  • Overall health begins with wholesome, natural, nutritious foods.
  • So much joy can be found in home cooking and vegetable gardens.
  • Fresh is best and food is a source of nutrition only – not an emotional comfort, a boredom filler or a stress reliever.
  • When your eating real, wholesome, nutritious foods, your body will tell when you’ve had enough.
  • When it comes to long term health, there are no quick fixes, fad diets or magic weight loss pills.
  • Results take time, dedication and hard work.
  • There is no one way of eating or one specific lifestyle suits everyone.
  • We are all individuals and need to listen to our lifestyles and bodies to tell us what it needs and when it needs it.
  • The key is to be in tune with your body and let it tell you when it is hungry and when it is full.
  • You should always be able to eat your favourite foods and have dessert when you want to (and a glass of wine when you need to).
  • Moving your body, getting fresh air and some sunlight can turn any day into a good day.
  • We need to teach our children the value of nutrition and food.
  • Everyone, no matter what their story, deserves to know how to cook delicious and healthy foods and to know how a well nourished body feels.
  • Where possible, we should use local and sustainable produce to ensure the planet is preserved for our children and grandchildren.

I pride myself on being able to provide simple and easy recipes that are healthy and delicious and will have your family and friends coming back for more.
